The Hotel Valdepalacios is located in the municipality of Torrico, on the road from Oropesa to Puente del Arzobispo. It has 29 spacious rooms, the largest being 80 square metres. They are all decorated differently, but all in a luxurious and romantic style without being ostentatious.

The rooms on the first floor enjoy views of the Gredos and Guadalupe mountain ranges. Those in the house's attic have unbeatable views over the meadows thanks to their height. The remaining rooms have views of the lake, the garden and the courtyard. All of which do justice to the whole which is designed to provide the utmost comfort.

Restaurante Tierra, the main attraction 

The hotel also offers different packages for the guests to enjoy total freedom. It offers, for stays of one or two nights, lunch or dinner with set menu at the Tierra restaurant, wine tasting, horse riding or horse drawn carriage rides, picnics and spa treatments.

The opportunity to sit at one of the tables at Tierra (tel.: 925 457 534, awarded with one Sol in the Repsol Guide) in itself makes the stay at Villapalacios well worth it. The kitchen is run by the chef Ismael Delgado, under the supervision of Santi Santamaría, one of the best chefs in Spain. Trying avant-garde cuisine in simple and pleasant surroundings is a stimulating experience even for the most demanding tastes.

Activities to make the most of the dehesa 

The meadows surrounding Valdepalacios especially favour outdoor activities, many of which are organised and supervised by the hotel staff, such as: cycling, horse riding lessons for beginners, sailing dinghies on the estate's lake while watching the ducks and the surroundings or even trying your hand at tench fishing in its waters. Another good option is simply strolling through the meadows at dusk. Nature lovers will be able to enjoy the area's varied wildlife: ducks, partridges, rabbits, fallow deer and roe deer...

For those who wish to break with the atmosphere of total retreat for a few hours there are several points of interest nearby. Guided tours to other points of interest of the area are on offer, such as Oropesa castle, the Arab ruins of Ciudad de Vascos, the monastery of Guadalupe and the Valle del Jerte.

Another option for spending some fun time as a couple is to play a round of golf. Palomarejos Golf is in Talavera de la Reina, 40 minutes from the hotel. It is an eighteen hole golf course.
